Area of expertise

Science

She graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Warwick and is currently studying at University College London, where she focuses on modelling environmental hazards and forecasting the impacts of climate change. In her research, she uses numerical methods to predict and reduce risks associated with natural disasters, with a particular focus on flooding.

She has also gained experience through research projects in Sri Lanka, Taiwan and Scotland. As part of one of these projects, she co-directed a documentary film about coastal communities. She is particularly interested in aquatic and island environments, exploring them by combining ecosystem analysis with the experiences of local communities and their capacity to adapt to increasing climate-related risks.

She also broadens her research perspective by engaging with philosophical and ethical questions surrounding science, technology and the relationship between people and the environment.
