And why is success worth more when we share it with others?
The guest of the latest episode of Rafał Brzoska’s Fireside Chat is Paweł Bolek, a Rafał Brzoska Foundation scholar. He graduated from Sciences Po in Paris, took part in an exchange programme at the University of Michigan, and is now doing a master’s degree in economics at Columbia University in New York.
Paweł grew up in Ireland for 11 years, but he sees his future in Poland. He dreams of working at the World Bank and supporting the economic development of Poland and Central and Eastern Europe. He has already helped prepare analyses of the citizen identification system in the Philippines, and he has gained experience in public institutions and business organisations.
In his conversation with Rafał Brzoska, he talks about his educational path, the importance of international experience, and the need for Poland to have a stronger presence on the world stage. He also talks about volunteering at the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial, supporting younger students, and why access to opportunities shouldn’t depend on where you were born.
At the end, he asks Rafał Brzoska: what life or business lesson did he learn too late?
