At the time of application, she was a student of Molecular Bioscience in a US–China dual degree program between Duke University (USA) and Duke Kunshan University (China), specializing in molecular oncology, and a graduate of the Stefan Batory High School in Warsaw (IB Programme). She conducted research on the expression of the DEK oncogene in gynecological cancers at Duke Kunshan University and worked at Duke-NUS Medical School in Singapore on cancer suppression mechanisms (ARF–MDM2–p53). She was a co-author of a publication in “Nowotwory. Journal of Oncology” and served as team leader in the Duke Bass Connections project, where she conducted a systematic review of cancer control interventions in China (2002–2022). She gained clinical and research experience in Poland, China, and Singapore, including in the fields of oncohematology and laboratory diagnostics, and participated in prestigious international programs such as Yale Young Global Scholars and the Future Leaders Exchange Program (FLEX).
She is currently a Graduate Entry Medicine (GEM) student at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) and a graduate of Molecular Bioscience at Duke University and Duke Kunshan University (Magna Cum Laude, Signature Work with Distinction – top 10%). She is the author of scientific publications in oncology, including a first-author paper published in Gynecology & Obstetrics (2025) on the expression of the DEK oncogene in uterine fibroids and cervical cancer as a potential prognostic factor. She is also the first author of an article in Trends in Cancer (2026) on the role of tumor-educated platelets as liquid biopsy biomarkers in ovarian cancer, as well as a co-author of a publication in Nowotwory. Journal of Oncology (2021) on smoking cessation support in oncology patients. She gained research experience, among others, at MD Anderson Cancer Center and Duke-NUS Medical School in Singapore, where she worked on topics in translational oncology and cancer biology. She presented her research at international conferences and academic forums, including the All Ireland Conference for Undergraduate Research (2026), the 2nd Annual Cyprus Medical Student Symposium (2025), and the Westlake Forum on Higher Education (2024). She is also a co-organizer of the PRiCAN Research Symposium (2026) and a recipient of the Młoda Polka Award (2025) in the category “Innovation and New Technologies,” developing her career as a physician-scientist.
In parallel, she is actively engaged in social impact through student organizations, mentoring, and clinical volunteering. At RCSI, she serves as a year representative in several student organizations (Association of Women Surgeons, Cancer Society, Leadership & Healthcare Management, Palliative Care Society oraz Biological Society), co-organizing workshops, educational panels, and fundraising initiatives for oncology patients. Coming from a small town, she has been working as a mentor at the Our Future Foundation since 2021, supporting students from less privileged backgrounds in overcoming barriers to access international education. She provides individual guidance throughout the application process for international programs and studies, helps them build confidence, and shares the knowledge and experience she gained while finding her own path. Additionally, she volunteers at a student-run clinic at the Carmelite Community Centre in Dublin, where screening programmes are conducted to support early detection of chronic diseases and access to primary healthcare.
