Biology student at the University of Oxford, actively engaged in academic research, social initiatives, and sports. Her research interests focus on molecular and structural biology, CRISPR systems, and the detection of antibiotic resistance genes. She is a recipient of the Grand Prize of the Adamed SmartUP program, a two-time scholarship holder of the “Zdolni” program by the Children’s Fund of Poland, a finalist of the National Biology Olympiad and the Ecology Knowledge Olympiad, and a member of prestigious scientific organizations in the United Kingdom. In the future, she plans to establish her own research group and a biotechnology company in Poland, contributing to the development of the national biotechnology sector.

Thanks to the support of the foundation, she completed an internship at the Max Planck Institute in Frankfurt with Prof. Hartmut Michel, a Nobel Prize laureate, and participated in workshops and conferences in structural biology organized by the Biochemical Society. She achieves outstanding academic results – after her first year of studies, she ranked second in her cohort and received the Oxford Department of Biology Prize for Excellence, as well as the title of Styring Junior Scholar at Queen’s College. She is currently preparing for a research internship at the University of Cambridge, where she will study transposons. In parallel, she is actively involved in university life as a student representative on the faculty council and participates in volunteer activities.

Beyond her scientific work, Julia is actively engaged in outreach and social initiatives. She runs biology workshops for high school students, writes popular science articles, and tutors children from orphanages in cooperation with the WebKorki foundation. She volunteered during the anniversary commemorations of the Warsaw Uprising, is involved in the Adamed SmartUP scholarship program, and serves as a tutor in the “Fundusz Zdolni” program, supporting gifted students across Poland. She also co-organized one of the largest student biomedical conferences in Poland – “Biofuzje.”
