At the time of applying for the scholarship, Małgorzata was a flutist and a final-year student at the Artur Rubinstein State Music School Complex in Bydgoszcz, with ambitious dreams of studying in Warsaw and abroad. She is currently in her fourth year at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, studying flute in the class of Dr. Seweryn Zapłatynski, and has also studied as part of the Erasmus programme at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Leipzig in the class of Prof. Anna Garzuly-Wahlgren.
She is a laureate of numerous music competitions, including second prize at the 3rd Eugeniusz Towarnicki International Flute Competition for Students (2025), semifinalist of the Cluj International Music Competition (2025), first prize and the special “Hradec Králové Philharmonic Award” at the Flautiada International Competition (2024) in Banská Bystrica, and first prize at the Academic Instrumental Miniatures Competition in Katowice (2024). She is also actively involved in orchestral performance, participating in projects of the Orchestra Academy of the Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice and the National Forum of Music in Wrocław, and at the age of 22 she passed the audition for the orchestra of the Grand Theatre – National Opera in Warsaw.
Since her first year of studies, Małgorzata has also been engaged in volunteer work. She coordinates the Chamber Philharmonic Project within the Zdolni Foundation, supporting the planning of concerts in Warsaw cultural institutions, inviting young talented musicians, and forming chamber ensembles. She accompanies participants throughout the entire preparation process, leads classes, and prepares them for concert performances.
