Małgorzata Czarnik was a final-year student at V High School in Kraków at the time she applied for the Rafał Brzoska Foundation scholarship. During high school, she actively participated in international and educational initiatives such as the European Youth Parliament, the Coopernicus project run by Our Future Foundation, Model United Nations conferences, and the Zwolnieni z Teorii programme. She was also a scholarship recipient of, among others, the Civic Knowledge Academy, the Saint Nicholas Foundation, and the Polish Ministry of Justice. For her academic performance and social engagement, she received a letter of commendation from the Mayor of Kraków.

Currently, thanks to the Foundation’s support, she is studying Political Science at New York University (NYU). For her academic achievements and social engagement, she was twice awarded the Rector’s Recognition Award, as well as other university distinctions. She has gained professional experience, among others, at the U.S. Congress through the Transatlantic Future Leaders Forum programme, at the Ministry of Digital Affairs, and at the Kazimierz Pułaski Foundation. She has published several papers on security, migration, and democracy, which have been cited by major Polish media outlets.

Alongside her academic and professional development, Małgorzata has been engaged in volunteering and social initiatives for many years. In the past, she supported English language education for children from underprivileged backgrounds in China. Currently, she serves as a mentor at Our Future Foundation, supporting high school students applying to study abroad, and co-organises subsequent editions of the Transatlantic Future Leaders Forum.
