Marek is a multiple-time laureate and finalist of national academic Olympiads, and a six-time recipient of scholarships awarded by the Minister of National Education and the Prime Minister of Poland for outstanding academic achievements. He graduated from the University Secondary School with an average grade of 6.0, was a finalist of the “Matura na 100%” program, and a laureate of competitions such as Explory, Young Innovator, and the European Statistics Competition. He was awarded the title of Innovation Ambassador, representing Poland at international innovation and invention exhibitions, where he won a total of 6 gold and 2 silver medals. His projects have been repeatedly recognized by institutions including the European Patent Office and the World Intellectual Property Organization in Geneva. He represented Poland at the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) in the United States, where he placed 3rd and received a special award from the American Meteorological Society. During the European Space Camp at a Norwegian rocket base beyond the Arctic Circle, he worked in an international team on the design and software of a supersonic stratospheric rocket for research purposes.
He is currently a student of Computer Science and Information Systems at the Warsaw University of Technology and a rector’s scholarship holder. Thanks to the support of the Rafał Brzoska Foundation, he continues to develop his scientific and technological passions. His interests include data analysis, artificial intelligence, data mining, space technologies, and autonomous unmanned systems. As the only Polish participant, he took part in the first scientific conference organized by the European Space Agency dedicated to the applications of artificial intelligence in the space sector – SPAICE (Artificial Intelligence in and for Space), held at ECSAT-MVCC in Oxfordshire, United Kingdom, as well as in the Software Product Assurance conference and workshops organized by ESA at the European Space Research and Technology Centre in the Netherlands. Marek is a gold medalist and recipient of the Canadian Special Award of Excellence at the International Invention Innovation Competition (iCAN) in Toronto, Canada, for his original project TROPO O3 DRONE. He holds certifications as an Internal Auditor for Artificial Intelligence Management Systems (ISO/IEC 42001) and as an Information Security Management System Representative (ISO/IEC 27001), as well as a remote pilot licence for unmanned aircraft systems in categories A1/A2/A3 and STS-01.
Beyond his academic work, Marek is actively engaged in social initiatives. He took part in consultations on Poland’s Strategy for the Young Generation, worked in an expert team focused on developing conditions conducive to the intellectual development of young people, and supported initiatives aimed at fostering scientific interests among youth. He took part in a study visit to the European Parliament in Strasbourg and was appointed to the Council for Children and Youth at the Minister of Education, focusing on new technologies, digitalization, and entrepreneurship. He co-organized events such as the World Copernican Congress and the “Architects of Innovation” conference. His contributions were recognized with a scholarship from the Warsaw University of Technology for academic excellence, social engagement, and promotion of the university. He is a member of the New York Academy of Sciences and the Alumni Society for Science (USA), and his projects — characterized by a creative approach to contemporary challenges — currently focus on data analysis and artificial intelligence algorithms.
