Mikołaj Wolanin, at the age of 17, founded the Foundation for Student Rights with the approval of the family court. Mikołaj organizes the Student Rights Knowledge Olympiad every year. During his high school years, he pursued an individualized study program in the subject of 'law' and became a laureate and finalist in 13 national olympiads and 2 competitions. He is currently studying two majors in Warsaw and is the author of several academic publications, including two books ('Student Rights' and 'Student Obligations'; ORCID: 0000-0003-3574-6999). He also regularly presents papers at various academic conferences, including international ones (in Norway, Belgium, the United Kingdom, and the USA). From February 2022 to June 2023, he worked full-time (mainly night shifts) at the Short-Term Refugee Accommodation Center for Ukrainian refugees in Warsaw. During the first year of his scholarship, he completed a one-month internship at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law in Heidelberg, Germany, delivered a webinar at the invitation of the Children's Rights Commissioner, was appointed by the Minister of Education to the Ministry's Student Rights and Obligations Team, and was recognized as one of the 50 best students in the world (finalist list of the Global Student Prize).
